Spotify and Soundcloud are quite different themselves. Soundcloud is directed more at undiscovered artists and a place for DJ’s to show mixers. Soundcloud now has many mainstream artists and podcasters signed to their database. Spotify was created to house a huge catalogue of mainstream artists and charge listeners a monthly fee to listen to music ad-free.
Both platforms have been a huge step in the right direction for the music industry to combat plagiarism, but distributed technology and governance models allow efficiency and cost-cutting and a transparent way of monetizing digital assets.
Emanate is much more than just a music streaming service. Emanate is bringing transparency around royalty and rights distribution and allows collaboration to occur effortlessly via smart collaborations on the Emanate live platform.
